GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – A man has entered a guilty plea to a charge of trafficking drugs in Gallia County, Ohio.
According to Prosecuting Attorney Jason Holdren, Dionte D. Simpson, 25, of Huntington, West Virginia, pleaded guilty June 6, 2017 to Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the first degree, in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
“The Defendant was arrested on April 2, 2017, following a traffic stop where almost 80 grams of heroin was seized,” stated Holdren. “The drugs were examined at the Ohio State Highway Patrol crime lab and the heroin was found to contain fentanyl.”
Simpson will be sentenced in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court by Judge Margaret Evans on June 27, 2017.
