GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio – Troopers allegedly find drugs at a recent traffic stop on U.S. 35 in Gallia County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, on April 2, 2017, at 10:31 p.m., Troopers stopped a 2010 Chevrolet HHR, with West Virginia registration for a failure to display violation on U.S. 35 eastbound near milepost 15 in Gallia County.
Troopers allegedly observed “criminal indicators” according to a statement from the OSP. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle. During a consensual pat down, he allegedly voluntarily surrendered 80 grams of suspected heroin. The passenger, Dionte D. Simpson, 24, of Huntington, W. Va., claimed ownership of the heroin. Simpson was incarcerated in the Gallia County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in heroin, both felonies of the first degree.
