The Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau have announced that plans are underway for the Annual Gallipolis Christmas Parade. This year’s parade will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The deadline to submit an entry form is Monday, November 25, 2013. Due to time constraints, entries will not be accepted after this date. Applications are available at the GCCVB located at 61 Court Street, Gallipolis, Ohio or contact the bureau at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an entry form. There is no cost to participate. The eagerly anticipated announcement of this year’s theme will be “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.”
“We are excited to be a part of this year’s parade that will kickoff the holiday season. There are an abundant amount of holiday events and activities scheduled throughout the month of December in Gallipolis and Gallia County for locals and guests alike to enjoy this season,” stated Amanda Crouse, Executive Director of the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2013 Gallipolis City Park Lighting Ceremony being held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27th in the Gallipolis City Park, sponsored by the Gallipolis in Lights Committee. State Representative Ryan Smith along with one lucky school-aged youth, that was picked from entries returned to the GCCVB, will flip the switch to “Light up the City Park”! There will be refreshments and Christmas music performed by several local groups.
